Can this cold shrink tubing be used outdoors and in submerged environments?

Yes. It meets IP67 (temporary immersion). Custom IP68 is available for continuous underwater use. It also passes UV aging and salt spray tests – ideal for coastal and outdoor installations.

What voltage ratings are available? Do you provide test reports?

We supply 1kV, 10kV, 20kV, and 35kV grades. Full type test reports (power frequency withstand, partial discharge, impulse) are available for grid tender requirements.

Is special training required for installation?

No. Each kit includes an illustrated installation guide and video tutorial. Basic cable preparation (cleaning, sizing) is all that is needed – then pull the core and the tubing shrinks automatically.

Can you make cold shrink tubing for non‑standard or large cables?

Absolutely. We can custom‑make pre‑expanded inner diameters up to 150mm and wall thickness up to 6mm. Also possible for branch or Y‑shaped cable joints – send your drawing for evaluation.

What is the typical lead time for custom cold shrink tubing?

For standard sizes (in stock): 3‑5 days. For custom mandrel and expansion tooling: 7‑10 days for samples, 10‑15 days for mass production.

Does it resist chemicals like oil, acid, or alkali?

Yes. Silicone rubber has excellent resistance to many chemicals, making it suitable for industrial environments such as chemical plants, refineries, and wastewater treatment.
